Here is a list of Macros I have written for various Office tools. Usually we feel that any repetitive task requires a macro. That is a wrong concept. Typically, repetitive tasks indicate that the method you are using is inefficient. Usually there is an efficient way to do the same job – which eliminates the repetition.
Here is a new year gift for the Indian customers. Converting Amount to Words is always a problem. Many application require it and that code is always written manually, within the application. What is really needed is a comprehensive Excel function. Many people have written lots of Excel functions. But neither of them is specific to India, nor is it comprehensive.
We (Raj and me) had created it in 2005, but I had forgotten to publish it on the blog. We have done good amount of testing – but still you have to use it at your own risk. No guarantees. Read on to download, install and use the Excel function.
In the earlier post, we saw how boring text can be converted into interesting and high-impact slides. The only pending problem was that splitting text into words or characters needed to be done manually. That is a tedious process. Therefore, I wrote a macro to simplify this activity. In an earlier article, I had shown a method of making a picture transparent using the Transparency animation. This method shows the transparency only while PRESENTING – not while EDITING. Here is a macro which will help you create a transparent copy of any picture which is transparent during editing as well.

This is a utility I created along with Raj Chaudhuri many years back.Use the scribble tool to draw a waveform or shape, the utility will create the data for it.
You can then create a line chart which looks similar to original drawing.
