Yes. Data labels have a rectangular shape to start with. But you can change it to any shape. Click on any data label – it will select the entire series automatically. Now choose the Format tab from the menu on top. Choose Change Shape and select the shape you want. All familiar shapes, which are a part of Office, are available here. Choose the one which is most appropriate for the visualization and business context. Very useful for creating Info-Graphics.
