Referring to files has changed since Copilot was launched and we have to revisit it to ensure we continue to use all the powerful capabilities of Copilot and stay efficient.
Earlier we could only refer to files that were in our recently opened but now the pool of files we can refer to has increased. As mentioned, they have introduced a new Upload button, this button allows us to Attach Cloud Files or Upload from device. But do keep in mind that if you refer a locally saved file on the copilot chat it will be saved on the cloud and thus you will have 2 copies of the file, one local and 1 synced with the cloud, meaning OneDrive.
